PHYSICAL EDUCATION

The Saint Ann School’s athletic curriculum is designed to promote physical fitness through an appreciation of the many abilities that God has given us. Our students learn to value good sportsmanship, team cohesiveness, and to exhibit Catholic virtues. The physical education faculty use differentiated teaching methodologies to allow all of our students to meet with success
as they work to develop lifelong wellness and fitness habits. Our students strive to achieve their goals and are assessed annually through the National Physical Fitness Challenge.

As part of the PE/Health curriculum and Blue Zones initiative, middle school students use our fitness room. Safety is the number one priority and all students are trained in proper equipment use prior to beginning their own weight training routine appropriate for them. This training will enable them to gain confidence and familiarity with the weight room and exercises,
and use that confidence to develop a lifetime of good fitness habits.
